SHA congratulates HK athletes on winning first medals in two events at Asian Games

     The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, extended his congratulations to Hong Kong Delegation for winning two medals for the first time in two events at the 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014 today (September 23).

     Cyclist Cheung King-lok won a bronze medal in the Men's Omnium of Track Cycling. In addition, Stephanie Au, Camille Lily Mei Cheng, Siobhan Bernadette Haughey and Rosanna Sze won a bronze medal in Women's 4 x 200m Freestyle Relay.

     "Hong Kong athletes have excelled themselves and fully demonstrated sportsmanship by winning the first medals in these events at the Asian Games and gaining glory for Hong Kong," Mr Tsang said.

     He encouraged athletes to keep trying their best for Hong Kong and to strive for excellence.

     Hong Kong has so far won 11 medals at the Incheon Asian Games. The list of medals won today and yesterday is as follows:
