The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, today (September 21) continued his visit in Incheon, Korea, and visited Hong Kong athletes in the athletes' village of the 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014. During the meeting, Mr Tsang encouraged the athletes to strive for the best results and take part in more exchanges with other delegations' representatives in order to broaden their horizons and raise their own standards. He also took the opportunity to learn more about the supporting arrangements for the athletes.
In addition, Mr Tsang watched events in which Hong Kong athletes were taking part, including swimming and squash. This year the Hong Kong delegation comprises a record-breaking number of 472 athletes, representing Hong Kong in 31 events.
In the evening, Mr Tsang will depart for Seoul to meet with officials responsible for cultural, sports and youth matters.
