     The Hong Kong Observatory issued the No. 8 Southeast Gale or Storm Signal at 10.30pm yesterday (September 15).

     The 1823 Government Call Centre has received 35 reports of fallen trees as at 4am today (September 16).

     As at 2.30am, the Home Affairs Department has opened 25 temporary shelters in various districts, with a total of 161 people seeking refuge at the shelters.

     The Airport Authority Hong Kong reported that as at 3am, a total of 244 arrival passenger flights and 275 departure passenger flights have been delayed; while 19 arrival passenger flights and 19 departure passenger flights were cancelled.

     According to the Hospital Authority, as at 2.30am, a total of four males and two females have sought medical treatment at public hospitals.

     As at 3am, the Drainage Services Department received two reports of flooding in North District and Islands District. No report of landslide has been received.

     It is expected that southeast gale winds will affect Hong Kong for a period of time.
