Police are investigating a murder case in Tuen Mun in which a 54-year-old woman was killed yesterday (September 12).
About 7.45pm yesterday, a 51-year-old man reported to Tuen Mun Police Station that he had assaulted his 54-year-old wife at a unit in San Hui Village earlier on the same day.
Police sped to the scene and found the 54-year-old woman lying unconscious with head and neck injuries on a bed inside the unit. She was certified dead at scene.
Initial investigations revealed that the man attacked the woman inside the unit yesterday morning.
The man was arrested for murder and is being detained for enquiries.
Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.
Active investigations by the District Crime Squad of Tuen Mun District are under way.
