The Labour Department (LD) announced today (September 5) that the following services at the Tsuen Wan Government Offices (TWGO), 38 Sai Lau Kok Road, Tsuen Wan, New Territories, have been suspended until further notice owing to power suspension.
(1) Tsuen Wan Job Centre (2/F, TWGO)
Job seekers who need employment services may approach other nearby Job Centres, such as Kowloon West Job Centre at 9/F, Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices, 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kowloon (near Sham Shui Po MTR Station), or Tuen Mun Job Centre at G/F, Victory Building, 3 Tsing Min Path, Tuen Mun, New Territories (near Light Rail Prime View Station).
Meanwhile, services provided on the LD's Interactive Employment Service website (www.jobs.gov.hk) and Telephone Employment Service (2969 0888) will also be affected. Job seekers can only browse vacancy information on the Interactive Employment Service website.
In addition, the Youth Employment Start (Y.E.S.) computer system is also out of order due to the incident. The dedicated website and computer facilities at the service centres have been suspended. (2) Selective Placement Division (New Territories Office) (2/F, TWGO)
Job seekers with disabilities who need employment services of the Selective Placement Division may approach other branch offices, including the Kowloon Office (G/F, Ngau Tau Kok Government Offices, 21 On Wah Street, Ngau Tau Kok) and the Hong Kong Office (G/F, East Wing, Harbour Building, 38 Pier Road, Central). The Interactive Selective Placement Service has also been suspended due to the incident.
(3) Labour Relations Division (Tsuen Wan Office) (5/F, TWGO)
The public may approach the Labour Relations Division (Kwai Chung Office) at 6/F, Kwai Hing Government Offices, 166-174 Hing Fong Road, Kwai Chung, New Territories (near Kwai Hing MTR Station), for related services. Persons who have been arranged to attend conciliation meetings today have been individually notified about the alternative arrangements. For those who could not be reached, please call 2920 2003 for assistance.
(4) Employees' Compensation Division Kwai Chung & Tsuen Wan Branch Office (6/F, TWGO)
For enquiries and processing of employees' compensation cases, please approach other nearby branch offices, such as the Employees' Compensation Division Branch Office located at 10/F, Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices, 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kowloon (near Sham Shui Po MTR Station), for assistance.
(5) Occupational Safety Operations Division - (Mega Infrastructure Projects Office) 1, Integrated Services Office, Airport & Railways - 3 Office and Minor Renovation and Maintenance Works - 1 Office (5/F and 6/F, TWGO)
The public may approach the Occupational Safety Operations Division - Airport & Railways - 1 Office at Units 2501-2505, 25/F, Metroplaza Tower I, 223 Hing Fong Road, Kwai Chung, New Territories (near Kwai Hing MTR Station), for related services. Members of the public who have been arranged to attend interviews at the aforesaid offices today have been individually notified of the alternative arrangements.
