Police are investigating a traffic accident in Sheung Shui last night (September 4) in which a 56-year-old man died.
About 7.26pm yesterday, a motorcycle driven by a 56-year-old man and a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 60-year-old man were travelling in sequence along Fanling Highway towards Tai Po. When approaching near Kwu Tung, two vehicles reportedly collided.
Sustaining injury over his back, the 56-year-old man was sent to North District Hospital in semi-conscious state and was certified dead at 8.30pm.
The LGV driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are underway.
