Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tsing Yi today (August 26) in which a 23-year-old man died.
At about 5.50am, a private car driven by the man was travelling along Tsing Kwai Highway towards Yuen Long. When approaching near Cheung Tsing Tunnel, the private car reportedly hit onto a construction truck.
The man was trapped inside the compartment and rescued by firemen. Sustaining serious multiple injuries in unconscious state, he was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital where he was certified dead at 6.50am.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are underway.
