Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Sheung Shui this morning (August 20) in which a 79-year-old woman was killed.
At about 9.21am, a heavy goods vehicle driven by a 55-year-old man was traveling along Sha Tau Kok Road towards Lung Yeuk Tau. After turning left to Kwan Tei North, he reportedly found a 79-year-old woman lying on the roadside.
The woman was sent to Northern District Hospital in unconscious state, and was certified dead at 10.17am.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are underway.
