The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, extended congratulations to Hong Kong athlete Siobhan Bernadette Haughey for winning the first silver medal in the Women's 200m Individual Medley event in the 2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing today (August 17).
"Hong Kong athletes have performed well and achieved the first medal for Hong Kong in this event of the Youth Olympic Games. We are thrilled by their outstanding performance," Mr Tsang said.
He encouraged athletes to strive for excellence and obtain more great results in the upcoming events in the Youth Olympic Games.
