Police are investigating a traffic accident in Kwun Tong this afternoon (August 15) in which an 82-year-old man died.
About 4.15pm, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 34-year-old man was travelling along westbound Shui Wo Street. When turning right into Shui Ning Street, it reportedly knocked down the 82-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the pedestrian was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in semi-conscious state and was certified dead at 7.24pm.
Investigations will be conducted by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East.
