Public transport services
-------------------------

A total of 85 bus routes and 13 green minibus routes operating in the affected areas will be temporarily diverted.  The service of one green minibus route will be suspended.  Tram services between Tong Shui Road and Western Market will be suspended in phases subject to the on-site situation.  The public transport operators concerned will arrange publicity to inform passengers of the temporary arrangements.

The implementation hours of Chater Road pedestrian precinct will be from 4am to 11.59pm on that day.

Due to extensive road closures, the TD anticipates that the traffic in the vicinity of the affected areas will be very congested on the day.  Motorists are advised to avoid driving to the affected areas.  In case of traffic congestion, motorists should exercise tolerance and patience, and follow the instructions of the Police.  People who plan to go to the affected areas are advised to use public transport services.

The TD and the Police will closely monitor the traffic situation and implement appropriate measures whenever necessary.  Motorists and the public are advised to be alert to the latest traffic news on TV and radio.

Details of the special traffic and transport arrangements are available at TD's website (www.td.gov.hk).  Please call 1823 for any enquiries.
