The Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) is rolling out a summer break blood donation promotion during the summer holidays. Anyone who donates blood from tomorrow (August 15) to August 31 will receive a Blood Buddy Multi-purpose Key Holder while stocks last.
Members of the public who are aged between 16 and 60 (donation is possible up to the age of 70 if predetermined conditions are met), weigh over 41 kilograms and are in good health are eligible to be blood donors. Male and female adult donors aged 18 or above can give blood every 75 days and every 105 days respectively; youths aged between 16 and 17 can donate blood every 150 days.
