Tenders awarded for two residential sites

     The Lands Department today (August 13) announced that the tenders for two residential sites have been awarded on 50-year land grants at a total premium of $4,367.8 million.

     Tsuen Wan Town Lot No. 393 at Yeung Uk Road, Tsuen Wan, New Territories, was awarded to Vincord Limited at $3,939.8 million. Sha Tin Town Lot No. 598 at Hang Kwong Street, Ma On Shan, Sha Tin, New Territories, was awarded to New Rich Investments Limited (parent companies: Kam Wah Sure Win Limited and Wang On Group Limited) at $428 million.

     "Authority from the Central Tender Board was given to the Lands Department to award the two sites to the highest tenderers," a Lands Department spokesman said.

     The tenderers, other than the successful tenderer, in respect of each lot in alphabetical order with the name of the parent company where provided by the tenderer in brackets were:

     Tsuen Wan Town Lot No. 393 has a site area of about 14,160 square metres. The lot is partly designated for non-industrial (excluding private residential, godown and petrol filling station) purposes and partly designated for private residential purposes. The minimum gross floor area and the maximum gross floor area are 59,472 sq m and 99,120 sq m respectively, of which not exceeding 59,755 sq m are for non-industrial (excluding private residential, godown and petrol filling station) purposes and not exceeding 39,365 sq m are for private residential purposes. The total number of residential units to be built shall not be less than 790.

     Sha Tin Town Lot No. 598 has a site area of about 3,100 sq m and is designated for private residential purposes. The minimum gross floor area and the maximum gross floor area are 6,415 sq m and 10,692 sq m respectively. The total number of residential units to be built shall not be less than 180.
