Want to show support for caring consumption while enjoying delicacies? Purchasing products at social enterprise (SE) booths at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council Food Expo 2014 will be a good choice.
Seven SEs funded under the Enhancing Self-Reliance Through District Partnership (ESR) Programme of the Home Affairs Department (HAD) will take turns to showcase a variety of products including healthy food and drinks as well as organic food products at the Food Expo from August 14 to 18. Please refer to the Annex for details.
A spokesman for the HAD said today (August 12) that the department has arranged for SEs to participate in the Food Expo with a view to enhancing public awareness of SEs and encouraging more people to use their products and services.
The SE booths will be located at No. A18 of Public Hall 1E, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, 1 Expo Drive, Wan Chai. People purchasing products at the SE booths will get a free souvenir. There will also be a booth set up by the HAD to provide information on SEs.
The Food Expo will be open from 10am to 10pm from August 14 to 17, and from 10am to 6pm on August 18. The admission fee is $25 and admission is free for children aged 3 or below and senior citizens aged 65 or above.
