The Leisure and Cultural Services Department's Summer Fun Party 2014 - Fantasy Tales Adventure will be held on Saturday and Sunday (August 9 and 10) at the Ko Shan Theatre and its new wing to offer a variety of stage performances and workshops. Admission to all activities is free and no tickets are required.
The carnival will present Chinese legends such as "Journey to the West" and "Investiture of the Gods" with different line-ups including children performing Cantonese opera, while the interactive music theatre production "The Adventure of the 12 Little Dinosaurs" will feature Gary Tam as the storyteller. The event will also include puppet shows, lion and dragon dances, choral singing, animation screenings, magic shows, acrobatics and clown performances.
In addition to offering stage performances, the carnival will include workshops for different handicrafts such as magic weapon making, knot-making and origami for participants to display their creativity.
