Sham Shui Po Park Swimming Pool closed and Butterfly Beach and Anglers' Beach lifesaving service suspended

Please broadcast the following special announcement as soon as possible and repeat it at suitable intervals:

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced that as at noon today (August 5), Sham Shui Po Park Swimming Pool in Sham Shui Po District was temporarily closed and lifesaving service at Butterfly Beach in Tuen Mun District and Anglers' Beach in Tsuen Wan District was suspended until further notice due to an insufficient number of lifeguards on duty to ensure the safety of swimmers.

¡@¡@ Red flags have been hoisted at the two beaches. For safety reasons, swimmers are advised not to enter the water.

     Four public swimming pools are partially open, namely Morrison Hill Swimming Pool in Wan Chai District, Hammer Hill Road Swimming Pool in Wong Tai Sin District, Tuen Mun North West Swimming Pool in Tuen Mun District and Shing Mun Valley Swimming Pool in Tsuen Wan District.
   
     The department apologised for any inconvenience caused.

     Members of the public may call the respective public swimming pools or public beaches to enquire about their opening.
