Special traffic arrangements for public processions on Hong Kong Island

     Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate three public processions to be held on Hong Kong Island this Sunday (July 27).

     The first procession will depart the eastern pavement of Luard Road near Hennessy Road for the northern pavement of Drake Street outside Admiralty Centre. Westbound Hennessy Road and westbound Queensway will be intermittently closed from 10.30am onwards until the crowd is dispersed.

     The second procession will depart the grandstand of Southorn Playground for the northern pavement of Drake Street outside Admiralty Centre. Westbound Hennessy Road and westbound Queensway will be intermittently closed from 3pm onwards until the crowd is dispersed.

     The third procession will depart Chater Garden for the eastern and western pavement of Rodney Street and Harcourt Garden. Eastbound Queensway between Des Voeux Road Central and outside MTR Admiralty Station Exit C will be intermittently closed from 3.30pm onwards until the crowd is dispersed. The fast lane of Garden Road flyover will also be intermittently closed if necessary.

     Vehicles may not be permitted to leave or enter car parks along affected road sections during the road closure period.
