The following is issued on behalf of the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education:
Members of the public are invited to visit the Civic Education Exhibition 2014 to be held at the Hong Kong Book Fair 2014 (Booth 3B-C36, Children's Paradise). The exhibition will be open from tomorrow (July 16) to July 22 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The exhibition is jointly organised by the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education (CPCE) and the Home Affairs Bureau annually. This year's event will focus on publicising the theme "Cherish yourself and your family, Love Hong Kong and your country" and promoting the civic values of respect and inclusiveness, responsibility and love. It will feature information on civic education as well as a wide range of materials and publications produced by the CPCE, the Education Bureau and the Independent Commission Against Corruption. Visitors will be able to take part in interactive family games and receive souvenirs at the booth.
A ceremony for the exhibition will be held at 1pm on Friday (July 18) at the stage in the Children's Paradise. Singing and dance performances will be given, and TV artiste Mr Frederick Cheng will also perform during the ceremony and share with participants his views on civic values such as respect and inclusiveness.
