Creative arts education institute Global Art expands in Hong Kong (with photos)
************************************************************

A Malaysian creative arts education institute for children, Global Art & Creative (Overseas) Sdn Bhd, opened its second centre in Hong Kong today (July 12) to cater to the growing demand in the city for creative education.

The first Global Art centre in Hong Kong opened its doors in August 2013, offering innovative arts programmes for children aimed at helping them develop their creative thinking. Now, a year later, the institute has opened its second centre on Arbuthnot Road in Central. The founder of Global Art, Mahair Goh, said that the group has confidence in Hong Kong's creative education potential and also likes the city's favourable business environment.

Mr Goh said, "Hong Kong is dedicated to providing high-quality education, and parents acknowledge the importance of creative arts education in their children's development. Hong Kong provides an excellent education system and platform for us to explore and develop creativity and art education.

"Hong Kong is full of opportunities and it values creativity and entrepreneurship, which are key to our expansion in Asia and will help us achieve our goals," he added.

Depending on the pace of business development in Hong Kong, Global Art plans to use the city as its regional headquarters to expand its business across the region and promote its creative and arts programmes, as well as recruit franchisees to accelerate its regional expansion.

Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion, Andrew Davis, welcomed the expansion of Global Art in Hong Kong and said, "Hong Kong's thriving creative industries play an increasingly important role in the city's economy, which provides a good business environment for arts-related businesses. I am glad to see that Global Art is using Hong Kong as a base from which to expand its business in the region."
