Police are anxious to locate the next-of-kin of a baby boy who was found abandoned in Tin Shui Wai yesterday (July 4).
At about 9.29pm last night, Police received a report that a baby was found abandoned inside a female washroom cubicle in Hong Kong port area of the Shenzhen Bay Port, Hong Kong-Shenzhen Western Corridor.
The baby boy is believed to be less than one month old. He is about 50 centimetres tall and 2.91 kilograms in weight. He has a pointed face with yellow complexion and short black hair. He wore a long-sleeve white baby suit with colour print pattern when being found. No identity document was found at scene.
The baby boy, sustaining no apparent injuries, was admitted to Tuen Mun Hospital for observation.
Investigations by the District Investigation Team of Yuen Long are underway.
Police urge his relatives or anyone who has information to offer, to contact officers of Shenzhen Bay Port Reporting Centre on 3154 6510.
