Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Central this afternoon (June 27) in which a 69-year-old woman was killed.
At about 5.54pm, a bus driven by a 56-year-old man was travelling along westbound Des Voeux Road Central. On reaching near 28 Des Voeux Road Central, the bus reportedly knocked down the 69-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
The woman sustained serious head injury and was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital in unconscious state where she was certified dead at 6.27pm.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island, are under way.
