Government to hold public fora to gather views on review of Hospital Authority
************************************************************

The Government will hold three public fora in July to invite the public to express views on the operation of the Hospital Authority (HA). Their views will help the Steering Committee on Review of HA to better understand public opinion and keep HA's services in step with times.

A spokesman for the Food and Health Bureau said today (June 17) that the Government set up the steering committee in August last year to fully review the operation of HA.

"The review aims to ensure that HA, as the cornerstone of the public healthcare system and the safety net for the public, can continue to provide quality services and better meet the challenges brought about by social development and an ageing population.

"The public can express views on areas such as HA's management and cluster system, resources management, human resources, service standard, overall cost effectiveness and clinical governance," the spokesman said.
