The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, today (June 4) expressed his sadness at the passing of the Honorary Chairman of the Hong Kong Commercial Broadcasting Company Limited (Commercial Radio), Mr George Ho.
"Mr Ho established Commercial Radio in 1959. As a pioneer of Hong Kong's broadcasting business, Mr Ho made profound contributions to the industry. Over the years, he dedicated himself to serving the Hong Kong community and his generous contributions to education benefited generations of students. He was held in high regard by the community and was awarded the Gold Bauhinia Star in 2001.
"On behalf of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, I would like to express our condolences to Mr Ho's family," Mr Leung said.
