Special traffic arrangements for Dragon Boat Festival

     Police will implement special traffic arrangements in various districts on June 2 (Monday) to facilitate the public to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival and to ensure smooth vehicular traffic movement and pedestrian safety.
 
     All vehicles parked illegally would be towed away without prior notice.
 
     Motorists are advised to drive carefully and to pay attention to special traffic signs and instructions of the Police.
 
     Details of special traffic arrangements to be implemented are as follows:
 
(1) Southern District
 
     In Aberdeen, Kwun Hoi Path near Ocean Court will be closed between 8am and 7pm to all traffic except for the access of local residents, emergency vehicles and vehicles with permits.
 
     In Stanley, Stanley New Street and Stanley Market Road will be closed between 7am and 6pm; Stanley Link Road and Hoi Fung Path will be closed between 8am and 7pm to all traffic except for the access of local residents, emergency vehicles and vehicles with permits. Stanley Main Street will be closed between 7am and 11pm and designated as the pedestrian precinct.
 
     All parking spaces along Stanley Link Road and all metered parking spaces at Carmel Road, four on-street metered parking spaces and a disabled parking space at a section of Stanley Beach Road between Stanley Mound Road and Stanley Village Road, as well as the public car park near the refuse collection point on Stanley Beach Road will be suspended between 6am and 7pm.
 
     In Shek O, 15 parking spaces near the refuse collection point at Shek O Beach Public Car park will be suspended between 6am and 7pm.
 
     In Deep Bay, all metered parking spaces and motorcycle parking spaces, except for disabled parking spaces, along Island Road will be suspended between 6am and 7pm.
 
(2) Sha Tin
 
     Sand Martin Bridge (Sha Tin Rural Committee Road between Yuen Wo Road and Tai Chung Kiu Road) will be closed to traffic from 7am to 2pm except for vehicles with permits.
 
     A section of the cycling track along the northern riverside of Shing Mun River Channel between Sand Martin Bridge and Banyan Bridge will be closed from 7am to 3pm.
 
(3) Tai Po
 
     The following traffic arrangements will be implemented from 7am to 2pm:
 
     Dai King Street, Dai Hei Street and a section of Dai Kwai Street between Dai Cheong Street and Tai Po Waterfront Park will be closed to all traffic except for taxis and vehicles with permits. The cycling track inside Tai Po Waterfront Park near Tai Po Industrial Estate will be closed.
 
     The metered car park on Dai Shing Street and the metered parking spaces along Dai Hei Street and Dai King Street will be temporarily suspended except for emergency vehicles and vehicles with permits.
 
(4) Tuen Mun
 
     A section of an unnamed access road connecting Wu Shan Road (near Wu Hong Street) between its cul-de-sac and the entrance of the open-air car park; and an unnamed access road connecting Wu Shan Road and liquefied petroleum gas compound nearby will be closed from 7am to 5pm except for vehicles with permits.
