CE meets Minister of China Food and Drug Administration (with photo)

The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, met the visiting Minister of the China Food and Drug Administration, Mr Zhang Yong, at the Chief Executive's Office this afternoon (May 26) to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.
Mr Leung said that Hong Kong and the Mainland have all along maintained close contact on issues regarding public health and the safety of food and pharmaceutical products, and sustained an effective and stable co-operation mechanism.
Mr Leung said he hoped that the two sides would continue to enhance co-operation to refine the regulatory regime for food and pharmaceutical products to safeguard public health.
