The Chief Executive has appointed Mr Frankie Yeung Wai-shing as Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), and Mrs Eva Cheng Li Kam-fun as a Member of the Council of the HKAPA, for the period from May 19, 2014, to December 31, 2015.
Mr Yeung has been a Member of the Council of the HKAPA since January 1, 2010. He has been appointed as Deputy Chairman to fill a vacancy arising from the resignation of Mr Fredric Mao Chun-fai, following Mr Mao's acceptance of an offer to take up employment with the School of Chinese Opera of the HKAPA. Mrs Cheng has been appointed to fill the vacancy following Mr Yeung's appointment as Deputy Chairman.
