****************************************

The Police Recruitment Seminar organised by the Hong Kong Police Force today (May 17) received about 1,200 applications.

Held at the Hong Kong Police College, the event served to provide one-stop service to candidates and enhance their understanding of the Force.

Through talks, question-and-answer sessions, and demonstration of physical fitness tests, participants acquired a better understanding of recruitment procedures and general interview skills.

Initial screening, which included height and weight measurement as well as eyesight test, was also conducted on-site.

This year, the Force aims to recruit some 1,300 police officers, including over 200 Probationary Inspectors and 1,100 Recruit Police Constables who possess the competences required of a Police officer, share the same values of the Force and endeavour to become a professional Police officer to serve the community.
