Proposed lift and pedestrian walkway system at Waterloo Hill gazetted

     The proposed lift and pedestrian walkway system at Waterloo Hill was gazetted today (May 16). The proposed road works are required to provide a more comfortable and convenient pedestrian link connecting Waterloo Hill and Waterloo Road. The pedestrian link would also provide safe and barrier-free access for the disabled and the elderly.

     The proposed works are set out in the Annex. The plan and the scheme of the works are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

Central and Western District Office,
Public Enquiry Service Centre,
Unit 5, G/F, The Center,
99 Queen's Road Central, Central, Hong Kong

Kowloon City District Office,
Public Enquiry Service Centre,
Lower Ground Floor,
Kowloon City Government Offices,
42 Bailey Street, Hung Hom, Kowloon

District Lands Office,
Kowloon East and Kowloon West,
10/F, Yau Ma Tei Carpark Building,
250 Shanghai Street, Kowloon

     Any person who wishes to object to the works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 22/F, East Wing, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar, Hong Kong, on or before July 15, 2014.
