Born in Moscow, Boris Berman studied at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory with the distinguished pianist Lev Oborin and graduated with distinction as both pianist and harpsichordist. In the field of recordings, Berman was the first pianist ever to record the complete Prokofiev solo piano works, and he has many acclaimed releases on various major labels. A dedicated teacher of international stature, Berman has served on the faculties of the world's finest schools, and is currently the Head of the Piano Department at the Yale School of Music.

Hong Kong-born pianist Warren Lee performed with the Hong Kong Philharmonic at the age of 6, and went on to graduate from the Royal Academy of Music and the Yale School of Music with the highest of honours. Lee was the first-prize winner of the 1995 Stravinsky Awards International Piano Competition and the Grand Prix Ivo Pogorelich.
