Bun Scrambling Competition concludes successfully (with photos)

     The male and female champions of the annual Bun Scrambling Competition were decided after an exciting contest held early this morning (May 7) at the soccer pitch of Pak Tai Temple Playground, Cheung Chau.

     As the finale of the Cheung Chau Jiao Festival, the event has attracted more than 1 000 spectators to experience the stunning atmosphere of the competition.

     After the Under Secretary for Home Affairs, Ms Florence Hui, kicked off the competition by hitting a gong, nine male and three female finalists immediately scrambled up the bun tower to snatch as many buns as they could in three-minute time to vie for the championships.

     Apart from the fierce individual race, there was also an invitation relay in which four teams from Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Macau respectively competed against local teams from Cheung Chau.

     Results are as follows:
