Police appealed for information on a serious traffic accident in Wan Chai today (May 1) in which a 44-year-old man was seriously injured.
At about 4.05am, the man was found lying on the eastbound carriageway outside 41-49 Hennessy Road.
Initial investigations revealed that he was hit by a seven-seater private car when he was crossing the road. The private car then fled away. The man sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital in semi-conscious state for medical treatment.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are underway.
