The Legislative Council (LegCo) launched a newly-revamped website with enhanced features, which were designed to improve the searchability of LegCo information.
"The revamped website is more user-friendly and offers quick and easy retrieval of information on LegCo," said the Secretary General of the LegCo Secretariat, Mr Kenneth Chen.
Through enhancing the searchability of the website, improving the design of the landing page and inter-linking of webpages, Webcast, databases and documents, Mr Chen hoped that it would provide members of the public with convenient access to information.
The enhanced features of the revamped website include:
* improving the search capability of the LegCo search engine;
* adding appropriate meta data to the LegCo webpages to increase their prominence in Google's search results;
* enhancing the sharing of information through social media platforms;
* re-designing the layout of Webcast to incorporate more useful features; and
* linking the Webcast videos, attendance lists, and minutes of meetings to the agendas of the meetings of the Council and its committees for easy reference of users.
