As at 4.30pm today (April 27), 1 596 of the 6 639 registered electors of the Tung Chung North Constituency had cast their votes in the Islands District Council by-election, representing a turnout of 24.04 per cent. (The voter turnout figures are only for temporary reference.)
The polling station at Tung Chung Community Hall, G/F, Tung Chung Municipal Services Building, 39 Man Tung Road, Tung Chung, Lantau Island, New Territories will remain open until 10.30pm.
The dedicated polling station at Kwai Chung Police Station will remain open until 10.30pm. It has been set up for electors in the Tung Chung North Constituency remanded or detained by law enforcement agencies other than the Correctional Services Department (CSD) to cast their ballots.
As no elector of the Tung Chung North Constituency is imprisoned or remanded in the CSD's custody, there is no need to set up dedicated polling stations in penal institutions in the by-election.
