The following is issued on behalf of the Legislative Council Secretariat:
The Legislative Council (LegCo) Public Accounts Committee will hold a public hearing on "Mega Events Fund" (Chapter No. 3) of the Director of Audit's Report No. 62 on May 12 (Monday) at 9am in Conference Room 2 of the LegCo Complex.
Five witnesses have been invited to appear before the above public hearing to respond to points raised in the Report and answer questions asked by members of the Committee.
The programme for the public hearing is as follows:

Witnesses: The Permanent Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development (Commerce, Industry and Tourism), Mr Andrew Wong; the Commissioner for Tourism, Mr Philip Yung; the Chairman of the Mega Events Fund Assessment Committee, Mr Jeffrey Lam; the Convenor of the organiser of Events C1, C2, C3 and C4, Mr Chan Kam-lam; and the representative of the organisers of Event G, Mr Ko Chi-sum
The Public Accounts Committee is chaired by Mr Abraham Shek, and its Deputy Chairman is Mr Paul Tse. Other members include Mr Chan Hak-kan, Mr Alan Leong, Mr Wong Yuk-man, Mr Ng Leung-sing and Mr Kenneth Leung.
