A thematic exhibition entitled "The Amazing Wetlands", featuring the magnificent biodiversity and ecosystem services of wetlands, is open to the public at the Hong Kong Wetland Park.
A spokesman for the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department said today (April 17), "In Hong Kong, there are diverse wetland habitats with ecological, functional and amenity value. Apart from sharing fun facts on the wonders of wetlands, the exhibition showcases the importance of wetland habitats to humans and the diverse wetland wildlife in meeting their various needs."
Visitors can learn more about wetlands through a range of activities including guided tours, a summer drama, public lectures and DIY workshops. In the Wetland Reserve, they can get in touch with various wetland habitats, such as freshwater marshes, ponds, reedbeds, mudflats and mangroves, and explore the features of different plants and animals living there.
From tomorrow (April 18) to April 21, the Hong Kong Wetland Park will hold Easter Family Fun Days as festive events for the Easter holiday. Visitors will be able to enjoy with their families various games and activities, including Easter face-painting, the Bouncy Art Workshop: Stationery-making Class, the drama "Mudskipper and Friends at Mangroves", mascot shows and more.
