The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, will depart for Hue, Vietnam, in the afternoon of April 18 (Friday). He will attend the Sixth Meeting of the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Plus Three (China, Japan, Korea) Ministers Responsible for Culture and Arts and the Second ASEAN-China Ministers Responsible for Culture and Arts Meeting in Hue.
Representing the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government, Mr Tsang will participate in the meetings as a member of the Chinese delegation led by the Minister of Culture, Dr Cai Wu. The HKSAR Government has all along been committed to promoting cultural and arts exchanges with overseas countries. Mr Tsang said he hopes that Hong Kong will continue to strengthen its role in the Asian cultural scene and enhance the development of arts and culture in the region.
Mr Tsang will return to Hong Kong in the afternoon on April 20 (Sunday).
