Police appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok

     Police today (April 15) appealed for information on a fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok on March 21 in which a 46-year-old man died.

     About 2.30am on that day, a taxi driven by a 49-year-old man was travelling along southbound Reclamation Street. When the taxi approached the junction of Reclamation Street and Arran Street, its rear part was reportedly hit by a private car driven by a 31-year-old man travelling along the first lane of westbound Arran Street. The rear part of the taxi then rammed into the railings.

     Sustaining head injuries, the 46-year-old male taxi passenger was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital for treatment where he was certified dead at 7.26am on March 28.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
