Five Legislative Council (LegCo) Members conducted a site visit to Hung Shui Kiu Light Rail Station and Yuen Long West Rail Station today (April 8) to follow up on a complaint case about request for improvement of public transport services for residents in Hung Shui Kiu.
Members visited Hung Shui Kiu Light Rail Station during the morning peak hours to better understand the need of public transport service by the residents. Afterwards, Members visited Yuen Long West Rail Station to further observe the interchange service to Kowloon for the commuters.
After the site visit, a meeting between Members and representatives of the Administration, MTR Corporation and the deputation was held at the Yuen Long Government Offices to follow up on the case.
Members participating in the site visit included LegCo Redress System Duty Roster Member Mr Gary Fan (convener) and Mr Chan Han-pan. Other Members attending the site visit at invitation were Mr Leung Yiu-chung, Mr Michael Tien and Mr Leung Che-cheung.
