Australian testing company, Access Testing, announced today (April 7) that it has expanded operations in Hong Kong to take advantage of the city's position as a leading information and communication technology (ICT) hub and business centre in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

Access Testing is an independent testing company founded in 1995.  It set up the regional headquarters in Hong Kong in 2011 to deliver web accessibility project work for the Government.  It has since seen growing customer clusters including airlines, banks and financial institutions, insurance companies, public agencies and other commercial organisations for various ICT testing solutions to help enhance software quality and improve service delivery.

The ongoing expansion of business will continue to see the number of local staff increase at the company's APAC Head Office in Cyberport, Hong Kong, alongside a newly launched Access Testing Graduate Tester Programme that runs in partnership with local universities to groom home-grown ICT testing talents. More graduates will be recruited as business is expected to expand further in Hong Kong in the near future.

The Country Manager of Access Testing, Mr Federico Favini,  said, "With a knowledge base built up over almost two decades and spanning multiple industry disciplines, Access Testing is well positioned to develop the innovative idea of independent testing in Hong Kong and contribute to the advancement of the local ICT sector."

"Hong Kong also offers attractions in terms of its vibrant ICT scene as well as an increasing demand for quality assurance and testing services, making it the ideal foothold from which Access Testing can expand in this part of the world," he continued.

The Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion, Mr Charles Ng, said that Access Testing's expansion highlighted Hong Kong's importance on the global ICT map.  "It is most encouraging to see that Access Testing has grown so rapidly after only a few years in Hong Kong. It shows that our city's dynamics in terms of ICT development are prompting a whole range of new opportunities for related service providers."
