Dead body found case in Mong Kok reclassified as manslaughter

     Police today (April 4) reclassified a dead body found case in Mong Kok yesterday (April 3) as manslaughter.

     At about 2.35am yesterday, Police received a report from a 47-year-old man that his 46-year-old girlfriend collapsed inside a flat in 64 Bute Street. Police sped to the scene and found the woman lying unconsciously in the unit. The woman was certified dead at scene.

     Initial investigation revealed that the man had stolen the deceased's ATM card. He was arrested for theft yesterday.

     Upon further investigation, Police reclassified the case as manslaughter. The arrested man is being detained for further enquiries.

     Active investigations by the District Crime Squad of Mong Kok District are underway.
