The Transport Department (TD) today (March 31) announced that the six-month trial scheme for the extension of the eligibility of applicants for the Parking Certificate for Drivers Who Carry People with Mobility Disabilities has been completed.
Upon review, the TD is satisfied with the trial result and will make it a permanent arrangement with effect from tomorrow (April 1). Under the arrangement, designated drivers holding the Parking Certificate can park their private cars at designated disabled parking spaces in government multi-storey car parks managed by the TD when carrying family members and others with mobility disabilities.
