The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, will depart for Guangdong on March 27 on a two-day visit to Shenzhen, Shantou, Jieyang and Chaozhou.
Mr Leung will begin the first day of the trip by visiting a Shenzhen enterprise and then leave for Shantou to meet leaders of the Shantou Municipal Government. He will also visit Haiwan New District and a local enterprise in Shantou.
In the morning on March 28, Mr Leung will visit Hong Kong enterprises operating in Shantou and meet Hong Kong people who work, do business and study there to learn about their everyday lives. He will then depart for Jieyang and Chaozhou to meet leaders of these two municipal governments. While in Chaozhou, Mr Leung will also visit the Jao Tsung I Petite Ecole.
Accompanying the Chief Executive on the visit will be the Private Secretary to the Chief Executive, Mr Carlson Chan; the Senior Special Assistant to the Chief Executive, Mr Chan Kin-ping; and the Assistant Director (Media), Mr Nick Au Yeung.
The Chief Executive will depart for Shenzhen in the morning on March 27 and return to Hong Kong in the evening on March 28. During his absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam, will be the Acting Chief Executive.
