Police today (March 12) charged a 40-year-old man with one count of murder and one count of preventing the lawful burial of a body. The case will be heard in Kwun Tong Magistrates’ Courts tomorrow.
On 16 January 2012, Police received a report that a 33-year-old woman was last contacted by her family on October 5, 2011 and went missing since then.
After in-depth investigation, Police suspected that the woman was murdered and her body was dumped by the 40-year-old man in October 2011. He was arrested in Kowloon City this morning for murder and preventing the lawful burial of a body.
Active investigations by the Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon East are underway.
