Special traffic arrangements on Hong Kong Island for public processions

     Police will implement special traffic arrangements on March 9 (Sunday) to facilitate two public processions to be held on Hong Kong Island.

     One procession will depart Paterson Street Pedestrian Precinct at 1pm for the designated public activity areas at Central Government Offices via eastbound Yee Wo Street and eastbound Causeway Road, then U-turn at near Tung Lo Wan Road and via westbound Causeway Road, westbound Leighton Road, Keswick Street, northbound Pennington Street, westbound Yee Wo Street, westbound Hennessy Road, westbound Queenway, northbound Rodney Street, Harcourt Road southern pavement (westward), elevated walkway between Admiralty Centre and Central Government Offices, Harcourt Road northern pavement (eastward) and Tim Mei Avenue western pavement (northward).

     Another procession will depart Edinburgh Place near City Hall at 2pm for Central Government Offices via Chater Road Pedestrian Precinct, walkway between Statue Square and Price¡¦s Building, Des Voeux Road Central southern pavement (eastward), Des Voeux Road Central northern pavement (eastward), eastbound Queensway, Rodney Street eastern and western pavement outside United Centre, northbound Rodney Street, Harcourt Road southern pavement (westward), elevated walkway between Admiralty Centre and Central Government Offices, Harcourt Road northern pavement (eastward) and Tim Mei Avenue western pavement (northward).

     Police will intermittently close some traffic lanes along the procession route when necessary. Motorists are advised to drive with care and patience, and follow the instructions of the Police on site.
