Singapore-based EtonHouse International Education Group announced today (March 3) that it has opened its first pre-school campus in Hong Kong as part of its long-term business plan to tap into the city's demand for quality education.

EtonHouse Group's new campus in Tai Tam uses the inquiry based curriculum, which is inspired by the Reggio Emilia Educational Project in Italy based on research and international best practice, to encourage children to explore their environment and express themselves using multiple languages. The group also plans bring International Baccalaureate authorisation to its Hong Kong campus in the near future.

Founder and Group Managing Director of the EtonHouse International Education Group, Mrs Ng Gim-choo, said that the Tai Tam pre-school is the first of a series planned by EtonHouse Group in the wake of demand for quality education following on from Hong Kong's international business city status.

She said, "Hong Kong is an international city, a leading trading and business hub that attracts a very talented international work force. This is an important consideration for starting an international school as it attracts discerning international families as well as offers many exciting opportunities for international educators to work here."

EtonHouse Group has already identified the location of the second kindergarten campus that will commence operation in September 2015. It is also actively looking for properties to start a primary and secondary school campus.

Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion, Mr Andrew Davis, welcomed the opening of EtonHouse Group's pre-school campus in Hong Kong, which he said, "will strengthen the city's education infrastructure, making it more able to attract senior executives. International school places are in keen demand as senior expatriate executives need to find quality education for their children. The arrival of overseas education providers like EtonHouse Group will add to the choices for expatriate parents."
