Hong Kong Tesla Technology Ltd, a Mainland Chinese start-up with a base in Hong Kong, announced today (March 3) that its T-Pai intelligent doghouse prototype has entered the last phase of assembly.

The T-Pai has three decks and stands over 1.6 metres tall. It has automated provisions for toilet cleaning, feeding and temperature control, plus a thermostatic bed, interactive games and learning features, and a communication system allowing owners to interact with their dogs remotely. The idea is to offer complete ease of mind for owners when there is no one at home taking care of pets.

The Marketing and Communication Manager of Hong Kong Tesla Technology Ltd, Mr Howie Yeung, said, "Hong Kong is the meeting point of the East and the West with a good mix of international designers. The city is the ideal place for us to develop software and product design."

Director Mr Kelvin Zhang said, "We have spent over three years inventing the T-pai, hoping to bring revolutionary changes to the life of humans and their pets. The doghouse not only will give pets five-star accommodation, but its full automation will also offer owners more time with their pets."

Founder Mr Spand Jiang said, "Resource integration is a prime target of our company in 2014, so we will take part in different competitions such as the Hong Kong Houseware Fair in April. We hope to achieve a breakthrough so that people will realise that great things aren't only 'Made in China' but also 'Invented in China'. We welcome more strategic cooperation with commercial sponsors and strategic investors in achieving our goal of 'bringing mankind and nature together'."

The Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion, Mr Charles Ng, said that the team's decision to launch their doghouse business in Hong Kong shows the potential of the city to become a start-up hub. "We are excited to witness an innovative concept becoming reality in Hong Kong. The passion, drive and determination of these young entrepreneurs in making their dream come true will be key to their future success."
