Following is the transcript of remarks by the Financial Secretary, Mr John C Tsang, at a media session after attending Commercial Radio's programme "Saturday Forum" today (March 1):
Reporter: Secretary, do you agree that Hong Kong's competitiveness is slipping?
Financial Secretary: No, I don't think Hong Kong's competitiveness is slipping. You can see that our economy's continuing to grow, and we are marching towards a higher value-added level, and we are doing that in all the different sectors and we have been quite successful in that. And at the same time, we are looking into new sectors where we would excel and we are doing that. So we are doing quite well in that.
