The Legislative Council (LegCo) Panel on Health Services conducted a site visit to the Hospital Authority (HA) Building and St Teresa's Hospital today (February 28) to better understand the operation of the Electronic Health Record Sharing System (eHRSS), which is targeted to be launched by the end of 2014.
Members received briefing on an overview of the Electronic Health Record Programme by officers of the Food and Health Bureau; and presentation on the design and operation, as well as the core components of eHRSS by HA officers. They then visited St. Teresa's Hospital and observed a demonstration of the Clinical Management System by representatives of the Hospital.
Members participating in the visit included Chairman of the Panel, Dr Leung Ka-lau, Professor Joseph Lee, Mr Wong Ting-kwong, Mr Chan Kin-por, Mr Charles Peter Mok, Mr Chan Han-pan, Dr Helena Wong, Dr Elizabeth Quat and Mr Poon Siu-ping who are Panel members.
