Raid operation against suspected use of illegal radio transmitter for broadcasting

The Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) mounted a raiding operation this evening (February 27) against suspected use of illegal radio transmitter for broadcasting. In the operation, one set of equipment was seized.
"OFCA officers acted on information that the suspected illegal radio transmitter was located in an industrial building in Chai Wan," a spokesman for OFCA said.
"Illegal radio broadcasting is liable to cause harmful interference to other legitimate radio spectrum users. OFCA would continue to enforce the law to ensure proper management of radio spectrum," the spokesman emphasised.
