CSD issues clarification statement

Regarding a media report that a remand person in custody under the escort of the Correctional Services Department (CSD) for court trial disappeared afterwards yesterday (February 25), a spokesman for the CSD made the following clarification today (February 26):
The CSD had no involvement in the incident.
The CSD mainly escorts persons in custody for court attendance, medical treatment and inter-institutional transfer.
